The Meeting was called to order @ 6:30 by President Riley Morris.

OLD BUSINESS:
The Drafted Meeting Minutes of May 16, 2023, minutes were read. They were approved by Riley Morris.

NEW BUSINESS:
Roy gave another safety reminder. Be aware of the range rules. Read the signs on the range(s). He gave a reminder regarding damages, report them IMMEDIATELY, and there is absolutely no shooting outside after dark. We need to be courteous to our neighbors. He also informed the club members of the Promise Land Park recreation land.
Riley asked that the last member to leave the parking lot, close & lock the gate. He also asked that members not park on the asphalt area. Please leave it for members that are in wheelchairs.
Riley explained that the berm on the lower range will be expanded to make 4 new shooting stations, the 50 yard will be repaired, to include post replacement.
Riley requested a “work party” be created for levelling the foundation for the porta-potty.
Riley requested a vote on a date for the 1stAnnual (tentative) GHR&PC picnic. The majority of the group voted forJuly 16, 2023 @ approximately 1:00 PM to 4:PM. The club will be supplying Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Kielbasa Sausages, corn on the cob, Potato Salad, B-B-Q Beans, soft drinks and water but feel free to bring your favorite dish also.
Lower range will be closed from 10am to 5pm for this event on July the 16th
Upper range will be closed from 9: am to noon for scheduled Trap Shoot
OTHER BUSINESS:
TRAP SHOOT: Generally, Trap Shoots are scheduled for the third Sunday of each month. We will have an occasional Saturday shoot that will be announced at the meeting and posted on our web calendar.
On the day of the trap shoot, the upper range will be closed from 9am to noon. The trap will commence at 9:30 am. Rifle shooters can shoot until 9am and after 12: Noon on this date. All other ranges will remain open. To protect our equipment, there will not be a trap shoot if it is raining. So, if your head gets wet, stay home. He reminded trap shooters to carry spent shells in pocket or carrier, otherwise leave them on the ground, until shooting is finished. The next shoots are July 1st & 16th

BLACK POWDER GROUP:meets the 2nd Sunday of every month.
PISTOL LEAGUE: Meets Jan-March. (Practice begins in Nov/Dec.) Lasts 10 weeks.
BMG(Specifically Browning): Contact Dale Hensley.
We are asking members to please practice outside until you can hit the paper, then you can you use the inside range.
Riley informed the group that John Emerson is at the rehab center by the hospital, if anyone would like to visit him. He fell and broke his leg from his hip to his ankle.
A club member shared information about a website that has wide selection with affordable pricing. They ship via UPS.
Another club member requested the club look into donating to the new park in Hoquiam that honors Major General Eldon Bargewell.
Basic Safety and Firearm Course: Eagle Trover will be independently providing a Safety and Firearm course.
The cost will be $80.00 per person, with a $40.00 deposit upon registration for the class. The class size is limited to 8-10 people. Classes are set to be the last Sunday of each month; 1pm to 6pm. Class application and deposit can be turned into Riley Morris or Roy Pauley on the club meeting night before 6pm.This class is open for members and the public. LEASE LAND:
To sign up for the lease land through the Gun Club, you must first register with Rayonier at: https://www.rayonierhunting.com/
Do Not select a specific land when registering. Once you have completed registration, contact Roy Pauley at: (360) 581-9885.
Roy Pauley will provide a window sticker once you have registered on the Rayonier site. Again, please contact Roy after registering to complete the entire process.

A total of 17 prospective members submitted their applications and introduced themselves to the Membership.
Applicants were approved by The Membership & voted in as a block.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
